13SR is dedicated to helping local musicians and bands get heard by our Worldwide Audience. We bring a mix of metal and rock that crosses all genres, focusing on the darker, heavier side of metal music that never gets any airplay. You'll find bands like Slipknot, Pantera, Megadeth, Five Finger Death Punch, Mudvayne, Death, Suffocation, Machine Head, Metallica, Slayer and many of the more popular bigtime bands. That said...
We focus more on getting exposure to bands that are unsigned or currently with small or strictly metal label representation. We do our best to find bands from all across the world and get them into rotation, so true fans of metal can discover new music they may not otherwise be exposed to. 13SR was born on 4-20-2011 by Owner and Founder J "Migz" Miggler.
Migz has taken a roundabout path to the Radio Industry. From playing (bad) studio guitar for various musicians out in Las Vegas and Hollywood, he found an interest in artist promotion after watching up-and-coming musicians work to get signed by record labels. One of the biggest obstacles seemed to be getting people to hear the music. After moving back to Minnesota and getting his college degree in Radio Broadcasting, he started 13SRadio as a way to practice the skills he would need going forward in the business. It turned out that people like to listen to music, so he continued to work and build and create the 13SR Brand.
He's been a fan of metal music of all types since he was just a little kid back in the 80's with his Heavy Metal Magazine pics and posters and his Metallica and Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath shirts, and right now enjoys finding new bands that most people haven't yet had a chance to hear. Bringing the Metal to the Masses has been an enjoyable experience, and he hopes to one day be able to connect Record Labels, Radio Stations, and Artist Reps with the best up and coming Metal Bands from across the world.
We support many bands from many countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Japan, Germany, Serbia, Russia, Canada, the USA, South Africa, Malta, Italy, India, Greece, Denmark, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Isreal, Ireland, and Mexico so far.

Migz digs music of all types; From Pink Ployd to Pantera, Dimmu Borgir to The Doors, Arlo Guthrie to Goatwhore! A hobby musician, storm chaser and amatuer weather enthusiast, avid gamer on XboX and WoW, and addicted to sports at all levels from High School Hockey to his favorite Minnesota Pro Sports Teams! And yes, he does roll in a wheelchair \m/
Along with his Engineering and Color-Commentary duties for the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network, Migz is the owner and overseer of everything that is 13SRadio.
